The veraroute.com platform processes its users’ data in compliance with Regulation EU 2016/679 on Personal Data Protection (“GDPR”) and other applicable laws and regulations. We ask you to carefully read the following information. In the following, the term “Data Subject” refers to you as a user. The Data Controller shall be available to you for any clarifications you may require.
Source of Data - Data Subject
Data Subjects - users of the veraroute.com platform, acting in their capacity as client organisations (freight forwarders and/or carriers)
Types of Data Processed - identification data and contact details, recording of activities performed on the veraroute.com platform (log files), documents and materials relating to the users’ organisation, freely uploaded onto the platform
Purposes - guarantee to its users the full operation of the veraroute.com platform, manage and improve the platform’s security, manage charges, payments, and collection of fees for the services provided (including debt recovery), identify and take action against any breaches of contractual obligations, comply with all applicable legal obligations (e.g., bookkeeping and fiscal statutory requirements)

Lawfulness of Processing - art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (performance of a contract or taking steps prior to entering into a contract), art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR (compliance with a legal obligation), art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest pursued by the controller or third parties)
Legitimate Interest - implementation of security measures for the veraroute.com platform, and to ensure the quality of the services provided (prevention of cyber-attacks, identifying and taking action against fraud and attempted fraud, etc.).
Data Retention - 10 years after termination of the agreement for identification data, 5 years for log data relating to activities carried out on within the platform.
Possible Data Recipients - providers of technological services, other organisations registered with the veraroute.com platform through the search tools integrated in the same platform.
Transfer of Data Outside of the EU - the data shall not be transferred outside of the territory of the European Union.

Communication of Data - optional: registering with the platform and using its services is entirely at the user's discretion; failure to provide certain data and information may however limit your ability to use the platform and take advantage of the advantages it offers in terms of business opportunities.
